DBT Skills Group Therapy

Our DBT Informed Skills group provides a safe and encouraging space to learn psychological strategies and skills to navigate life’s many challenges

Our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Informed Skills group program aims to empower you with skills to better cope with life’s challenges. The group helps you to build your skill set so that you can better regulate your emotions, improve your coping strategies and tolerance of distress, as well as improving your interpersonal relationships and sense of identity.

This program is suitable for adults aged 18 years and older who have challenges in managing their emotions, relationships and their sense of identity. By completing the group program participants will develop their toolbox of skills to deal with distress and regulate their emotions in a functional and adaptive way.

This group will focus on two modules from the DBT framework, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Individuals will be introduced to these topics as well as develop skills both areas.

The group will be facilitated by two of our experienced Psychologists, Rachel and Vera. Rachel and Vera, both use DBT as one of their therapeutic frameworks and see the value in teaching the skill set within a group setting.
